I’m Emily Balsley and I love making stuff. I live in Madison, Wisconsin with my husband, daughter, dog and cat.
Between 2009 and 2010 I started seeking out other creative outlets, in addition to the design and illustration. Not because I was bored of what I was doing, but because I love to learn new things and I figured it could only make my work stronger. I learned to screen print and set up a print shop in our basement. I learned to sew and started dabbling in knitting. Though still relatively early in the process, I have lots of ideas and big plans for new products which can be found in my shop.
I love spending time with my family, hiking, biking and working out at the gym. I love BLTs, Queen, gingham and cotton candy. My favorite color combo is red and turquoise. I love all things vintage, especially mid-century illustration and thrifted fabric. You have a big box of old fabric in your attic, you say? Well, send it my way!
